Ho Chi Minh City, on February 9th, 2023, , in the wake of the success of the Hanoi to Bangkok international route, Vietravel Airlines continued to launch the international route from Ho Chi Minh City to Bangkok, adding to the Vietnam and Thailand route networks. Following the success of Hanoi-Bangkok interanational route, Vietravel Airlines continued to launch the second interanational route Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok. On February 9, 2023, the flight number VU131, taking off at 12:15 from Tan Son Nhat International Airport and landing at 13:45 to Suvarnabhumi International Airport, marking a new milstone of connecting two important Southeast Asian cities Ho Chi Minh city and Bangkok.
According to the latest report of Fitch Solution - a macro research unit, the experts predict that international tourism will grow strongly in the period 2023 - 2026, marking a new record of USD 13.2 billion and reach 22 million guests in 2026, leading to Thailand becomes a key market of Vietnam tourism industry. Additionally, consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic, passengers are gradually tending to "belt up", short trips and affordable price for international flights are the top choices. Vietravel Airlines widens the route network by opening international flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Bangkok in the first quarter of 2023, with the strategy of attracting more domestic and foreign tourists in the wave of traveling in summer vacation and holiday in Vietnam.
