Carry-on baggage refers to items that passengers are responsible for keeping in their custody throughout the flight.
The carry-on baggage allowance is included in Vietravel Airlines tickets. To ensure safety and comfort for all passengers, Vietravel Airlines applies the following regulations on carry-on baggage:
- Passenger(s) with Premium Service:
- 01 piece / up to 12 kg
Maximum dimensions: 36 cm x 56 cm x 23 cm (total dimensions ≤ 115 cm), and - 01 additional small item, up to 2 kg
Maximum dimensions: 40 cm x 30 cm x 10 cm
- 01 piece / up to 12 kg
- All other economy Class passengers are entitled to 01 piece of carry-on baggage with a maximum weight of 7 kg with Maximum dimensions: 36 cm x 56 cm x 23 cm (total dimensions ≤ 115 cm)
This allowance does not apply to infants.
Passengers wishing to carry DRY ICE in their carry-on baggage are required to inform our staff in advance. The maximum permitted quantity is 2,5 kg per passenger, and the dry ice must be properly packaged to allow the release of carbon dioxide gas during transport.
All carry-on baggage will be screened and tagged as “Cabin Baggage” at the check-in counter, and may be subject to further inspection at the departure gate.
As the request of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, for safety reason, the security recheck is requested for all passenger’s baggage in case of noncompliance with airlines' carry-on baggage standards after being completed security procedure. The security rechecking procedure for passenger's baggage may affect your departure time. We reserve the right to refuse carriage of a passenger who fails to comply with any adhere regulations of carry-on baggage and/or the closing check-in time standards. To avoid the risk of flight missing and any unexpected problems, please comply with the carry-on baggage standards hereof to ensure a smooth trip.
Carry-on baggage is not supposed to contain:
- Fresh and frozen food items (meat, fish, crab, or snails, etc.);
- Smelling fruits (jackfruit, durian, etc.) and liquids (fish sauce, shrimp paste, etc.);
- Objects violating safety and security regulations of the flight;
Carry-on baggage will be controlled and tagged with "Cabin baggage" at the check-in counters.
Infant passengers (under 02 years old) are not entitled to carry-on baggage allowance.
Important information
- If the carry-on baggage exceeds the quantity, weight or dimension as specified above, the baggage service fee will be applied.
- Passengers who has dry ice in their carry-on baggage are supposed to notice our employees in advance. The amount of dry ice is not allowed to exceed 2kg/person and must be packed and ventilated.
Liquid in carry-on baggage for international flight:
1. Total volume is not more than 1.000ml/passenger.
2. Each liquid container has a maximum volume of 100ml and must be kept in a visible, sealable bag.
